El Pedregal – A Moroccan Oasis

Nestled in the boulders of North Scottsdale and the scenic desert, at the corner of  Scottsdale Road and the Carefree Highway, is a shopping village called El Pedregal.  This center hosts many unique stores  and fine restaurants.  In the center of the shopping area is an amphitheater where live musical events are held.  I attended one event put on by middle and high schoolers in the area to raise money for the Cave Creek School Districts music program.  What a great venue! This is an area of Scottsdale shopping with a southwestern flavor.  Be sure to stop in an look at some of the stores featuring clothing, antiques, art, handbags and more.  Or enjoy a glass of wine and some jazz music under the stars.
