Desert Botanical Gardens

SCOTTSDALE’S BOTANICAL GARDENS – Oh My Goodness – have I found a place for you – all of  you, and it sits in an oasis right in the middle of one of the most beautiful cities in Arizona.  Located in Papago Park in Scottsdale (some travel brochures may say in Phoenix!), and opened almost 70 years ago to conserve the ecology of the desert, these 150 acres contain more than 4,000 different species of cacti, succulents, trees and flowers.  Visit their website to see all of the events that they host.  http://www.dbg.org/ They are “One of only 44 botanical gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums, this one-of-a-kind museum showcases 50 acres of beautiful outdoor exhibits. Home to 139 rare, threatened and endangered plant species from around the world, the Garden offers interesting and inspiring experiences to more than 300,000 visitors each year.”
