Central Scottsdale
Central Scottsdale is an area which is dominated by three master planned communities, which were established in the 1970's and 1980's, and by the upper middle class. It is one of the most desirable regions with it's recently remodeled homes and has been newly rated as one of the Ten Hot Spots by Fortune Magazine. Residences range from golf course and lakeside homes, single family ranch homes, horse properties, and retro Sun Belt Condos and patio homes. Most of the schools in Central Scottsdale are either "excelling" or "highly performing" schools.
Golf is naturally the most common pastime for this area, but it, also, provides other amenities such as the 30 acre McCormick-Stillman Park, which has a merry-go-round and a miniature train, and the 42 acre Scottsdale Ranch Park, which is home to lighted ball courts including fourteen tennis courts. Central Scottsdale is, also, graced with the visually striking phenomenons of the McDowell Mountains and Sonoran Desert and also enjoys the amenities of North Scottsdale which include first rate shopping and dining selections, esteemed medical centers, and impressive art galleries.
